Water Spirit
Warm, sunny skies and waves crashing on a beach. It sounds simplistic, but for many it makes them detour on the way to work or school to get some beach therapy. Your beach therapy could take the form of water coursing down stream of a river or maybe its crashing down from a waterfall or maybe its the glasslike serenity of a lake. Whatever form it is, many people are drawn to water.
It’s different for each person. For some it’s a way for the family to get together, for others the rushing water or the break of a wave on a beach is soothing. And for others still, it’s a means of exercise.
Water scenes have graced paintings and photographs made famous by artists such as Monet and Ansel Adams. They are made into posters and calendars and adorn bedroom walls and work cubicles.
In the North state there are many outlets for residents to quench their thirst. Be it the Sacramento River, Lake Shasta, Whiskeytown, Burney Falls or a community pool, water draws people to them. Some fish, some train for triathlons, and some are drawn to just relax near the cool waters edge.
