By 6 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 7, hundreds of people were standing in line in downtown San Jose to register for holiday meals at Sacred Heart Community Service. This Thanksgiving and Christmas, Sacred Heart will feed more people than it ever has before.
Next week, about 4,000 families will receive a turkey and boxes of produce and canned goods. For Christmas, the organization will provide 3,300 families with dinner and 5,000 children with toys.
In order to do this, Sacred Heart needs your help. Just $18 will provide two families with turkeys for Thanksgiving. Click here to find how you can help.
